No alpine adventure is complete without a stop at a mountain hut for a hearty meal. After a long hike, you can recharge your batteries with delicious Bavarian fare. That's why most of the trails in the Bayrischzell region lead to a mountain hut at some point along the route, where you can savour Bavarian delicacies and a unique alpine panorama. Hikers can also discover a few insider tips for locals living in and around Bayrischzell - including the Neuhütte, Niederhofer Alm, Mariandl-Alm, Speck-Alm, Sillberghaus and Walleralm. Stop by your favourite hut and enjoy a cosy snack – the breathtaking views are always free of charge.

Grafenherberg

A visit to Grafenherberg am Sudelfeld near Siegi Mair will pamper your taste buds with a mouthwatering combination of traditional cuisine and dishes with a modern twist. Savour the culinary delights and enjoy the wonderful view from our sun terrace with a glass of wine, or a delightful aromatic coffee with apple strudel.

Sillberghaus

If you travel from Bayrischzell in the direction of Landl, you will find the Sillberghaus car park on Tiroler Straße after about 3 km. From there it is only a 30-minute hike to the beautifully located Sillberghaus.

Berggasthof Walleralm

Berggasthaus Walleralm was awarded the Bavarian Hotel and Restaurant Association quality seal as a non-smoking, hiker- and family-friendly restaurant. Hot meals are served throughout the day from 10:00 am to 6:30 pm.
Barbecue evenings on Wednesdays from 5:30 pm from June to the end of August, whatever the weather. Breakfast is served on the sun terrace from 8:30 am to 10:30 am from June to October.
Location: Walleralm lies in the heart of the Sudelfeld ski and hiking area.

Gasthof Bäckeralm

Speck-Alm has an authentic rustic charm and offers seating for all kinds of celebrations and events that are looking for a special atmosphere.

Siglhof

This centuries-old farmhouse is still what it always was: a great place for people and animals in the Leitzachtal valley.
Nestled in a wonderful landscape, the Siglhof lies directly at the foot of Mt. Wendelstein. Here guests can still find rest and tranquillity that has already been lost to mass tourism elsewhere.
