Swimming, bathing and water fun

Endless water fun awaits the whole family in our indoor and outdoor pools. Splash around in the warm water, enjoy the feeling of weightlessness and experience the lightness of being. The little ones will enjoy the children’s pool with slide and water features.

Lake Schliersee (ca. 15 km)

The Mt. Brecherspitze pyramid forms an imposing backdrop to Lake Schliersee, which is definitely worth a visit. Apart from the north eastern shore, which includes the village of Schliersee, the majority of the 222-hectare lake area is untouched. The lake is 40.5 m deep, 1.25 km wide and 2.52 km long.

Those who like a quiet dip will enjoy the southern shore near Fischhausen. Or you can walk a few metres further to the lonely west bank. Here you can relax in the sun and jump into the pleasantly warm water.
The Parkstrandbad is a lido on the eastern bank of lake Schliersee with 12,000 m2 of sunbathing area and lots of shade-giving trees. It offers all the facilities you can expect at a good lido, including a 3 m diving tower. Entrance: €4.00 for adults; €3.50 for children and Guest Card holders.

Lake Spitzingsee (ca. 15 km)

Also a short ride or drive from the hotel are Lake Spitzingsee and Lake Suttensee. However, at 1000 m and 980 m above sea level respectively, swimming in these two lakes is not for those with delicate skin!

Lake Thiersee (ca. 18 km)

Nestled in the Brandenberg Alps, here you can enjoy crystal clear waters that is 24 °C warm in summer. How does that sound to the ears of bathing beauties and alpine swimming enthusiasts? Lake Thiersee has many beautiful bays and sunbathing areas around the lake, which you’ll come across when you walk along the circular hiking trail around the lake. Starting on the eastern shore, you can comfortably explore the easy, flat path in just under an hour.

The Thiersee Lido has a large sunbathing area and a boat hire service on the north shore, making it ideal for swimming and boating. Nature lovers often cross the lake to admire the idyllic water lily area and the many water birds. The lido also offers lots of activities for kids: Aqua Splash with water slide, diving tower and Aqua Jump. There is also a beach volleyball court. For families there is a spacious parent-child area with a playground.
